Owensboro High School Reunion
June 18 & 19, 2010
You've doubtless heard of Dick and Sally Anderson's generous offer to make this a reunion that we'll all remember. An elaborate couple of days has been planned. Thanks Dick and Sally - I was told that Dick said they were blessed... and so are we. We have over 50 signed up and several others are "thinking about it". Come on down, as they say...
Synopsis of Reunion:
Friday Night @ RiverPark VIP Room:
38 attended and reminisced. Welcoming bags with Schedule of events, guides, a Venice Beach trinket and Ghiradella chocolates were distributed.It was decided that, becuase of the predicted heat (98+) for Saturday that a gathering at Cheddar's for lunch would be held rather than venturing to Panther Creek.
Saturday Lunch: 28 attended.
Saturday Afternoon/night. 50 attended of which 30 were OHS alums. Music by the Halos and then an extensive Elvis show were enjoyed.
Fen was masterful as the suave Master of Ceremony (HA!) following a rather serious opening speech titled The Future by Richard Anderson (click for viewing).
Prior to the Entertainment, FEN received a Priority Text Message from POTUS.. it went somewhat as follows:
This is Barack OBAMA!That's pronounced o-BOM-ma in Kenya ...where I was born.
My Congratulations to your OHS Class.of 1950 .I'm told your class was exemplary as students and are now as citizens of our great country.
It's gratifying to hear that so many tea baggers are there. you're the ones who are paying taxes that pay for my socialistic programs. Also pleased to hear that they ...are not carrying firearms ..
On a special note to JP, - my personal congrats you for your extraordinary efforts to liberalize western KY......

I must add, however, that I was a bit unhappy with the timing of your suggestion to open up off shore drilling....
I had intended to join you in person at this Gala event in order to 1. hear more about Billy Shelton's hospital experiences and how that would affect my health plan, and 2. It would give me a chance to invite Sarah Palin to join me in KY to catch a few beers with my pal, Sen O'Connell .....
However, I ‘had to decline your invitation when I rec'd a message from Rand Paul. He told me that the only private place in Oboro that allowed men of color was the Exec. Inn.....and you blew that up and then tore it down!
